Keith Markham
Training Consultant
Keith qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and now works as a training consultant. Initially working in private practice, in 2004 he moved in-house at the BGL Group, a major insurance intermediary that numbers Budget and comparethemarket.com among its brands.
During his time there Keith advised extensively on all areas of data protection. He also conducted contract negotiations of a complex nature, often with major blue-chip companies.
In 2007, Keith joined BPP Professional Education, one of Europe’s leading providers of professional development training. He worked there as both an in-house lawyer dealing with data protection and commercial contracts and also as a presenter of training courses before ultimately deciding to specialise in delivering training and becoming a training consultant in 2009.
Drawing on his considerable experience Keith has designed and delivered a wide variety of training for GA Training, BPP and other providers in the commercial law field. In particular he teaches topics relating to acquisitions, data protection, drafting commercial contracts and commercial contracts to lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
Keith has a wealth of experience designing and delivering training programmes for law firms and in-house legal departments, working at all levels from trainee to Managing Partner. He is currently involved in a number of GDPR compliance projects and is the author of ‘A Practical Guide to the General Data Protection Regulation’ published by Law Brief Publishing.
Keith also has more than fifteen years of experience as a trustee and volunteer with a number of charities working in the UK and overseas. Currently, in his spare time, he visits and audits projects in Honduras on behalf of an aid charity and is also the secretary to the charity that runs the Peterborough Polish Saturday School.


Jackie Sheldon
Training Consultant
Jackie qualified and practised as a corporate solicitor in a large City firm before moving to the North West where she worked at two commercial firms including Hammonds where she specialised in advising on corporate acquisitions.
Jackie has been teaching for over 18 years, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education and is a Certified Management and Business Educator. She has also co-authored a book: ‘Advising Effectively on the Employment Aspects of a Corporate Transaction – A . Practical Guide for Junior Lawyers’, Law Brief Publishing, 2021.
In her spare time, Jackie runs a martial arts school in the North West, has three blackbelts in kickboxing, has recently become a Coach Educator for England Boing and enjoys spending her spare time walking in the Peak District with her giant (daft) dog and hanging out with her husband and sons.
Martin Mellor
Training Consultant
Martin is amongst that rare breed of people that finds finance fascinating! Perhaps even more surprising is that he really enjoys trying to help others share that fascination.
Martin is a Chartered Management Accountant of 25 years standing who has been training people for the last decade, he’s now helped thousands of delegates become “confident in finance.”
One of Martin’s chief assets is his ability to relate the theoretical elements of courses to real world situations and conversations, indeed Martin couples his work as a trainer with supporting businesses as a consultant Finance Director and that real world experience is a crucial part of his delivery to make the training relatable and impactful.
Martin’s style is relaxed yet impactful and with a good dose of humour to create a vibrant and energetic environment for people to learn a subject that doesn’t come naturally to many.


Rebecca Attree
Training Consultant
Rebecca Attree is a qualified solicitor, experienced Civil and Commercial Mediator and trainer based in London. A Cambridge graduate, Rebecca worked for City law firms Richards Butler (now Reed Smith) and Laytons before setting up her own international commercial law practice, Attree & Co in 1995.
Rebecca has more than 25 years’ experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and resolving disputes. She has particular expertise in advising on cross-border agreements that raise issues of applicable law and jurisdiction. Rebecca has considerable knowledge of business contract law, corporate law, joint ventures, comparative law, agency, distribution, intellectual property, research and development, competition law, mediation, and dispute resolution.
Rebecca devises courses and provides training to business executives and solicitors in Europe on corporate and commercial law topics, intellectual property, negotiation, mediation advocacy and dispute resolution.
As an Accredited Mediator, Rebecca assists parties to find successful long-term solutions to complex disputes, without the cost of going to court or arbitration.
Her main sectors of expertise are mediating commercial contracts, aviation, property, construction and family office. She is fully accredited to mediate in the UK, the US, and online, and has considerable experience of international disputes.
More than 90% of cases she has mediated have been resolved within a day or less.
David White
Training Consultant
David White works with corporate clients from both commerce and industry and is also a visiting lecturer with the University of London. His approach is to help develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of individuals, teams and organisations.
He does this by focusing on the skills needed to lead, communicate, organise and control.
His experience has been gained over more than thirty years in management, and training. He originally worked in sales and marketing management in the automotive, food and telecoms sectors – for organisations both large and small. This experience provided a practical foundation when he moved into Human Resources and Learning & Development.
Detailed discussions with appropriate managers complemented by his wide experience enable David to design and present company-specific programmes which are of practical benefit. The programmes are geared to individual participants with a view to identifying and using their abilities to the full in the workplace for their own benefit and that of their organisations.
David specialises in the delivery of management development programmes, negotiation and influencing skills, effective communication and managing supplier relationships.


Graham Roberts-Phelps

Graham is a specialist training consultant, business coach and advisor. He has also worked at Director level in a number of organisations in a range of different industries.
Graham’s training style has been described as highly motivational, interactive, and practical. Over the last twenty years he has trained or coached over 30,000 business professionals in 20 countries and hundreds of organisations. Heather Adlam
Training Consultant
Heather Adlam works with corporate clients from both commerce and industry. Her aim is to improve individual and team performance by promoting an efficient, happy and creative atmosphere leading to greater success for the company concerned. She also counsels individuals setting up in business for the first time.
Her experience has been gained over more than thirty years in management, training and the development of leaders. She has been on the staff of British Telecom, Imperial College and City and Guilds of London Institute and worked as manager, consultant, trainer and presenter.

Her expertise includes refining the interviewing skills of members of Parliament who have to face probing questions; training engineers to deal with difficult customers and getting merging companies with different work ethics and cultures to integrate smoothly.
One of Heather’s chief assets is her ability to connect with people. It may be a one-to-one session reorganising a cv, ensuring that candidates interview well, or talking to a group of 500 stressed-out bankers in a lecture theatre, who need to review, assess and modify their working practices.
Heather’s aim is to improve individual and team performance by promoting an efficient, happy and creative atmosphere leading to improvements for the organisation concerned. Heather comes from a scientific background. Having been apprentice to an industrial designer and structural engineer, she went on to work at Imperial College. She soon found that how people worked together was as interesting as the material world. She undertook rigorous technical and management training with British Telecom and her first appointments were as a manager of two central London telephone exchanges, each having over 250 telephone operating staff. She went on to be a tutor at the Telecoms Management College. Following this she ran the construction department of a national examining body. Here she had to manage a team of varying abilities and ages, creating an atmosphere where everybody worked well together and achieved exceptional financial returns.
She has proved that people who are respected for their particular skills work hard and take responsibility. The environment thus created enhances teamwork and contributes to a spirit in which innovation flourishes and profits rise.


Ted Wainman
Training Consultant
Ted trained and qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Ernst & Young before joining JPMorgan on the Investment Management side of the business.
Whilst at JPMorgan, he undertook a company sponsored MBA in the International Management of Financial Services, from which he graduated at the top of his class with merit.
Since 2003 Ted has been designing and delivering programmes for the private sector across a range of business needs.
Whether it be focused on programmes to build awareness and detailed understanding around financial drivers of their business, addressing new operational initiatives or supporting business change, Ted is experienced in working with key stakeholders within the business to construct training solutions that deliver sustained change.
With a background in finance, Ted has a focus on financial and commercial training, but is also comfortable in designing, developing and delivering training programmes on a wide variety of softer skills from negotiation, persuading, influencing, written communications and presentation skills.
Ted has worked with a wide range of companies – primarily private or listed – from blue chips and law firms to financial services, including banks, building societies and insurance companies.
Ted works globally and is experienced in addressing the needs of programmes across varying cultural backgrounds.
Susan Gregory

Susan delivers workshops in communication, creativity and productivity. Fast Effective Reading is one of the most popular workshops that Susan delivers.
As a productivity expert, Susan is regularly quoted or featured in the media, including in the Toronto Star, The Grid and on Blogtalk Radio. Susan also writes business book summaries for Actionable Books. As a member of the Athena Alliance, Susan is a co-author of the recently published book, “Blind Spots”.
Susan has a strong business background that allows her to relate to professionals working in different industries and at all levels of an organization. Before working in the training industry, Susan worked in various roles in the telecommunications industry in the UK and New Zealand. Susan’s corporate background reflects the ability to relate training to business objectives to increase profits, reduce overheads and streamline processes. Susan has worked extensively with blue-chip companies, government departments and not-for-profit organisations.
Having delivered courses in Europe, the Middle East and North America, Susan has the ability to relate to diverse audiences. She is also an accomplished public speaker and is the former president of City of London Toastmasters in the UK.
